| Prayers for Mia please... she is having bilatateral repair of Grade 3 Luxating Patellas. There is no reason to think things will go wrong but I always love the prayers from YT. It did wonders for Cali (some of you may remember my 7 y/o with Neuromyotonia). Thanks and I will post later how her surgery went (it was today at 1pm central). Haven't heard from the surgeon yet. I know there have been many areas on this site discussing this topic but is there a good/reliable website to look at regarding recovery? Thanks again!

| Thanks! The surgeon just called and he couldn't believe how bad her knees were. They were luxated 50 degrees out of place and he said she virtually had no groove where her kneecap is supposed to sit. I hope she recovers OK and we'll appreciate any prayers. The power of YT!

| I'm glad Mia came through the surgery alright. I pray that her little knees will heal properly and she will be able to fly like the wind again in no time.

| Prayers being said for Mia's recovery. Poor baby. Let us know when she is home. Also make sure they give you pain med's to give her.

| Thank you all for the prayers! They are working. Just heard from the surgery center and Mia went out to potty. She ate a few bites of food which they say is a little unusual because dogs usually do not want to eat. Also they said she was resting comfortably but they were going to give her more pain medicine this evening. There is a pitbull (sweet dog) that had surgery today too and the tech said she was whining but the other 3 little dogs (including Mia) were as calm and quiet as can be. The doc will be in at 8am and will call us. We will be visiting her tomorrow afternoon (we get to take her home on Thursday). On an interesting note: Cali didn't seem fazed with Mia being gone. As a matter of fact, I think she is loving being the only pup again (like when she was little). When she ate supper, she did look around for Mia but she certainly isn't moping the way Mia did when Cali had to stay at MSU. Funny little dogs!
