OMG, Linda! I just saw this thread now and am so disturbed! I'm so glad he came out of surgery well, but I can't wrap my brain around anyone letting a dog suffer like this! What is wrong with this world? Please keep us posted- can't wait to see pics & sending prayers for a speedy recovery! |
I forgot to ask, where they able to fix his hip? Did they determine if he has a collapsed trachea? |

Grade 4 is the worst, but my George is the same and he does very well. Hopefully Jack London's can be managed well medically. I don't know if they did his hip...I don't think so, though. They had mentioned to her something about trying to put the hip back in place and see if it stays...then, go back in in a day or two if it did not. I will find out later and update on that. |
Oh Linda my first thought was I just want to hold him, what a little sweetie so valiant...it is disturbing to watch and yet inspiring, this little boy has a huge will and a mighty large spirit...I can see it...PLEASE KEEP US POSTED... |
I couldn't even watch the video, poor little guy. He is so adorable, it's unimaginable how anyone could be so cruel to him or any dog for that matter. I'm so happy their are good people out there helping all of these used and abused little dogs. |
3 Attachment(s) OK...the lowdown on the hip. It popped right back out, so he will need an FHO. That is going to be done on Friday. Here are some pics of him taken this evening: |

My prayers still continue for Jack London. He is just beautiful. |
Thanks Vicki...he definitely needs prayers this morning. I hate that his breathing is worse now. :( I suppose it makes sense because of the CT, but you know you just want things to be fixed and perfect. I keep trying to remind myself of my Maxwell who almost died following surgery in 2004 .. his CT acted up after surgery and we almost lost him. He was worse than Jack...they actually had him on a respirator. He came out of it, so I am hopeful that Jack will be ok. At least he is in a place that can provide the best for him. |
im glad he came through. sounds like he has a long road and how someone could breed such a sick baby is just unreal. it turns my stomach. keeping jack london in my prayers!! stay strong jack london we are pulling for you. |
Sending prayers for sweet Jack. Praying his CT issues ease and they are able to fix his hip as well. Poor baby boy. |
