When they brought her out i was surprise not to see a cast either just a big bandage and she is walking normal i only take her out her crate to eat and potty and tonight she is sleeping in bed with me the doctor said after two weeks i can take her outside on walks so long she is on her leash but she still run which is very hard to control but she is back to her normal self eatting barking and full of energy i couldnt imagine her with 3 legs and i definitely couldnt imagine giving her away im glad for the help and guidance because i didnt know where to turn... She has a plate and screws in her hind leg and that patch should fall off in 5 days according to the doctor and he said i should see an incision and to make sure she doesnt lick it he said if she do lick buy one of those funny hats to go around her neck... But she is well and back to her old self

Its a must have and would definately be useful to keep on hand they're extremely reasonably priced and they wash for reuse very well

Alisha, your post made me smile. I'm so happy you were able to save Bella's leg! As I told you in one of my earlier posts, I rescued a little Yorkie very recently that had to have a leg amputated and I would have done anything to have saved it. We tried everything, but the damage was just too severe. Although he has learned to walk on 3 legs, there is not a day that goes by that he does not take a "tumble" and it breaks my heart. When I come home and they are all excited to see me, my others can run and jump up...when he tries, he loses his balance and usually falls! There are lots of other times that it would be so much easier if he still had his other leg, as he is still a puppy and has so much energy! He's a trooper and will do fine, I'll make sure, but life will be easier for Bella with all 4! Sweet dreams to you both!
