Good Luck with your baby, I can sure understand how concerned you are for her. Lets hope she is diagnosed and treated, and gets well soon.
Sorry if my post is a red herring, but just a thought.

No red herrings at all! All questions/suggestions presented in the spirit of broadening what could possibly be the answer to a Yorkie baby's problem, are not only welcomed, but probably analyzed carefully for being a possibility!

Hello Scott, welcome to YT.

I can't mince words on this one since I'm more than frightened for your girl's survival and well-being. You've asked for 'medical advice', which is understandable - but it seems you already have a medical treatment plan (developed by you) in mind...so I'm not sure what you're looking for....maybe you can explain more...?

In my opinion (which is somewhat medical since my bach degree is in nursing), you're playing Russian Roulette w/ this kiddo's life here; you're giving meds for things that haven't yet been diagnosed. This poor dog needs to get to a Neuro, NOW. I feel this is a real emergency, and nothing less. Her symptoms could result in her death, if left untreated and/or if treated via your own ideas. That is so dangerous. I'm scared for her life and I can't imagine what *she* must be going through during all of this.

You asked for "best guess scenarios [so you could] go straight to the best medication". That may be appropriate in *some* situations when the issue is not life threatening or urgent. It is not appropriate care, in the least, in this situation.

If you were a friend of mine - I'd tell ya to get your BUTT TO A NEURO VET, now. If money is an issue, then the right thing to do is to hand her over to a Rescue that can provide the care she needs. That's the advice I would give.

Please keep us posted. I only want the best for this kiddo, as I hope you do too.

THANK YOU ANN!!! As evidenced by the 3rd post I made on this thread to this person, my frustration and fear for this little babys SURVIVAL was becomming almost uncontainable for me, and while I thought I had managed to temper what I ACTUALLY WANTED TO SCREAM OUT LOUD, WHILE GRASPING BOTH LAPELS ON THIS MAN'S SHIRT, AND FURIOUSLY SHAKING HIM BACK AND FORTH, I have been in fear he would cry about my post, and complain that my advise was "mean and not supportive", and I was going to be suspended or banned! I am thrilled you stepped up and cut to the chase with this poster! Bottom line is this person was diagnosing, and medicating based on any and all "thoughts" anyone could give him!!! I will NEVER get on here again and throw out what I PERSONALLY think any signs or symptoms of what is going on with a persons pet, could possibly be, for fear they will be running to a feedstore to procure any drugs they can find, to treat their dog as cheaply as possible....I would be crushed if anything I said were to actually cause a pets DEATH, while the owner ran around, giving a little of this and a little of that, waiting to see if it works, then trying something else, instead of seeking QUALIFIED MEDICAL ATTENTION FOR SOME POOR LITTLE SOUL THAT DESERVES AT THE VERY LEAST, PROPER MEDICAL CARE. If someone wants to use their beloved pet as a research project, it wont be as a result of anything I ever tell them! I will limit my advise to "a neurologist" or a "cardiologist" or "an internist", etc......I watched this persons progressive decent, post by post, into a desire to diagnose, treat and cure this poor unfortunate animal, with obviously NO medical premise on which to base any modes or methods of treatment he was initiating.....I learned a very valuable lesson! I strongly suspect this baby did not make it..........

Default Poor Baby

I so agree with last posters. Lets hope the lack of update does not mean the poor little mite did not make it. The poster's 'treatment' of this little fur babe is so weird and unbelievable that I wonder if the original post was a hoax???

I think the lack of update may be due to a lack of wanted responses.

I get medical costs being overwhelming-trust me-however trial and error treatment of random issues isn't as costly as treating the real issue.

I really feel this could be a seizure going on and a seizure related issue being avoided or band aid treated.

Drooling, loss of motor control "vision" issue cumming going no veterinary observed eye issues.<--definitive seizure signs

I'm wondering how it is the person is getting these meds without these issues being diagnoses.

I agree that Scott may not have wished to listen to the YT advice given, but wonder why he asked for help?
Many YTers did take him seriously and took the time to give measured opinions, but we do not know if advice was taken and what happened to the baby. So please Scott let us know how she is, we are all concerned.
By the way in the first post Scott does say that the dog left the Vet with ordered Pred. eye drops, so there must have been a reason for that? The whole thing is strange and does not add up to date.

These threads are exhausting. I find myself walking away more than ever before. It definitely takes its toll....I feel so sorry for the pups in these cases.

It is extremely frustrating. I just don't get folks who don't buy pet insurance, if they have no back up financial resources. Hey I know bad things can happen financially, but there are just so many times, I read people can't even afford some basic diagnostics. At least in this pup's case he did spend some money on testing.

She may not have made it, or maybe the owner decided to PTS.

It is frustrating!! I posted my general experience with Riley as an example that just because testing at your regular general practice vet is coming back normal as he said theirs was, this does NOT in an way shape or form mean that there is not something drastically and critically wrong!! I know I am now stating the obvious, but I was just so hoping that she would be able to get some help!! She definitely sounded like she was in distress and needing help! I also as everyone else, was really wanting to hear back as to how she was.
