| Thank you! Yes, its a crazy beginning, but Dany is worth it She's doing a bit better today. Still in the hospital and not wanting to eat on her own although she did have a few licks of some food today (its a start right?). Anyway tomorrow we receive blood results of her pancreatic lipase test...hopefully it comes out normal and there is no pancreatitis! *crossing fingers*

| Just came back from a visit with Dany at the hospital. The test results came back positive for pancreatitis which was as suspected. The vet said its unusual for puppies to have pancreatitis, but it may be brought on by stress. The good news is that Dany may be able to go home tomorrow!!! So if all goes well tonight we will have her home tomorrow. There's no specific treatment per se for the pancreatitis except just supportive care. So we will just have to feed her every 4 hours until she eats reliably on her own.

| After 5 days in the hospital, I finally have my puppy home! Thank you all for your well wishes!!! They helped so much! Now just gotta worry about syringe feeding her every 4 hours since she still has no appetite. Turns out she had, giardia, coccidia, and pancreatitis

| Great news, I'm sure you have been told about the diet & supplements, many here are dealing with the same issue. Ask for help whenever, so glad she's finally home!!!

| Yay! Maybe ask the vet about putting her on some probiotics to help restore the flora in her gut... might help her appetite....

| It pains me to write this but our sweet Dany passed away 5 days ago on 8/22/12 at 12 weeks old. She was still battling the pancreatitis. She took a turn for the worse last week and was hospitalized. She was having diarrhea, was anemic, and they had just diagnosed her with campylobacter as well. The vet thought she could make a recovery, but she just got worse at the hospital. She stopped breathing, was resuscitated, but then her heart rate was failing and her breathing was shallow which became due to fluid filling in her lungs. In the end, she was just too sick to make it. I will miss her terribly We still don't know the primary cause of her death and why she was having so many complications. The vet say we may never know why she got pancreatitis, why she was anemic, it could just be a variety of secondary issues to the pancreatitis or something else entirely.
