| Update on Maggie, still worried I took Maggie to the vet yesterday, he did three X-rays and they all looked good. No fluid on the lungs, no enlarged heart, etc. He couldn't find anything wrong. We went to the park this morning and one run across the park and she almost collapsed. She vomited what looked like egg yolk. We headed for home immediately. On the way home she started the heave breathing that was in the video from my last thread, this time she was panting heavily. She did this for about ten minutes after we got home, she's now settled down. Yesterday she ate, drank and played as normal. What next?? I need to help her!!

| Oh my goodness! I'm just now seeing this. I'll have to read the other thread. Did the vet not find anything? Poor baby. Sending prayers your way.

| So sorry to hear that. What is the heat like in your area, it is just horrid here, could that be part of it. Heat is very hard on these little ones. Prayers coming.

| I would go ahead & take her to an E.R. vet where a cardiologist & other specialists can use the fine diagnostics they have to see if anything really horrible is going on. A cardiac Doppler, some labs & a second opinion on the x-rays the first vet took, for instance. Clearly what we all saw on that video isn't normal. Tibbe did that sort of thing a lot when he had all his gas & tummy troubles. He didn't pant like that but he would stand like that for long-ish periods of time with his head down. With time and excellent food, treatment, Tibbe no longer does that. Took weeks!

| I do think I'd consult a cardiologist. Something is apparently wrong and the heart & lungs are connected, so I would look in that direction first. Because vets aren't specialists, I am always leary when they don't see something that a specialist sees easily. I know I had two little oldies that had chf and they would breathe in the same way as Maggie. When it was very humid, their breathing would be a lot more labored than when the humidity was low. They both took medication which helped a lot. I don't know if that could be it but there is definitely something wrong. I will keep Maggie in my prayers that your precious little girl will soon get the help she needs.

| It looks like Maggie is having problems from the heat and humidity. If she is not having difficulties any other time, I would suspect the weather here is the culprit. It is miserable here right now.

| I know it is. I've been there. Sometimes it is very high here, too, because your darn Gulf humidity comes straight north to us! Our heat index is just 106 today.
