I do think I'd consult a cardiologist. Something is apparently wrong and the heart & lungs are connected, so I would look in that direction first. Because vets aren't specialists, I am always leary when they don't see something that a specialist sees easily. I know I had two little oldies that had chf and they would breathe in the same way as Maggie. When it was very humid, their breathing would be a lot more labored than when the humidity was low. They both took medication which helped a lot. I don't know if that could be it but there is definitely something wrong. I will keep Maggie in my prayers that your precious little girl will soon get the help she needs.
