Update on Jada's lump

I am so overwhelmed by the support and prayers. I would like to quote and comment to each of your comment But I am emotionally and physically exhausted and poor Bogie doesn't understand, so I am having to watch him like a hawk, to make sure he doesn't bother Jada wanting to play.
I don't know what I would do without you guys because you all know exactly how I feel. It is going to be a long 2 weeks, but I know with your prayers and support we will make it
ps...my Mom and Dad are going to babysit for me while Jada is recouping. They love her as much as DH and I. I was so worried about what I was going to do for two weeks. I would have been a wreck at work worrying about her home alone.
editing to add....Jada had no pain when the knot was manipulated. She didn't even act like she knew when I would touch it.

Now the healing and spoiling and catching up on much needed rest. Because you are such a great mommy, and spotted the lump right away, I know Jada will be fine. Get a good night sleep tonight you deserve it. And give Jada a kiss from our gang.

Could you tell if it was hurting Jada when you touched it or anything? Does the vet have enough knowledge to know if it was fatty tissue or not? I would ask him that..that is does he think it was fatty tissue and how many of these has he seen, that is can he make that kind of call on it?

I have a fatty lipoma on my collarbone. So, hopefully that is all it is and she has grown so has it. My experience is that it has grown over the years, but they few times I have asked the dr they insist that is all it is. I made them do an ultrasound on it and they stick with that diagnosis. I have no idea why they don't want to take it off, but it's been many years and if it WAS cancer, I'd be dead by now. It has grown as I have grown fatter. It is between the size of a large grape and a small egg..(the top half only, who knows how deep it is, only the top half sticks out and it doesn't hurt. I should have had it out years ago, but they told me it would leave a scar. I didn't care enough to follow it up and see if that was true. Now it has grown so I'm sure it would be a scar. Luckily it pretty much falls right where a tank top covers it.

I hope that is all Jada has, or a simple infection, maybe she had a tick or something that never got all the way out and it got infected. How old is she and did the vet look at her teeth at her last check up? I ask because I'm curious how much we can really tell by looking and sniffing, and at what age to get a dental even if all looks and smells well.

Our vet said it looked very odd to him and he didn't speculate as to whether it was a fatty tissue. He said it was very distinct and white in color. He has done these surgeries before and said not to jump to the conclusion that it was cancer, that it could have been deep tissue trauma (when she fell off the arm of the loveseat a few weeks ago) that had abscessed and became hard.
As for her teeth..she had a dental in October of 2009 and was checked last May when she had her annual and was ok. He did say that her mouth is so tiny that it is hard to get the brush back in her mouth far enough when I brush her teeth. I talked to Lisa (sugarmamma) and Sugar has a tiny mouth too and she uses a sonicare on her. I am ordering one to start using as soon as her little mouth heals.

Michelle, I am just seeing all this as I don't get on YT much anymore. I know you are worried sick. Our furbabies are our lives, especially after the skin kids have moved out leaving an empty nest. I will keep Jada in my prayers and I am also playing that God will give you peace. Saydee has a tiny mouth too and she hates me brushing her teeth. She fights me tooth and nail. I need to check in on sonicare too. Please keep us posted on Sweet Jada. Love ya.

oh my, I am so sorry to hear this, the next 10 days will probably be like 10 years, but you will have all your friends on YT to get you through this, maybe the results will be back sooner and it will be the good news we all want to hear. I am sending positive thoughts and prayers your way and in the mean time spoil that pretty little girl even more than you already do.

I hope she's feeling better tonight. When Tink had her surgery, I bought an Xpen with a zippered lid... it worked out well. Towards the end of her recouperation she would go in it whenever she wanted to be left alone, and she could relax in there knowing no one could sneak up on her trying to play. It folds up when not in use and is easy to store away, till the next time we need it.
