Cesar's treats contain BHT/BHA (sp) as preservatives (known carcinogins) and propylene glycol, the main ingredient in antifreeze... can be toxic to a sensitive dog. My dogs vomit after eating these... in the trash now.

I don't think I will be giving those to any of my dogs now. What treat do you recommend?

I give mine regular Cheerios, and Gerber's Graduates Puffs.($2 at WalMart for 460 treats) Plus they're great for training as they won't fill up the dog too fast! And they go bonkers for raw carrots. and green beans. And sometimes I give them Yogurt as a small snack. And cottage cheese on their food once a week. And apples. lol... I'll stop here.

Thank you!!!! They do get carrots occasionally. Cherrios and Gerber's Graduates are a wonderful idea! I think I will be making a stop at the grocery store after the vet visit! Thanks again...............please keep good thoughts for Rylee Belle!

Our Vet feels that this is just another gastro upset. He said he is sure there is no obstruction. He said she has maintained her weight, her gums are nice and pink and she looks very healthy. He suggested maybe she is also experiencing some allergic reactions since we recently tried mixing in the new food with her old food. He said that so many little dogs have very sensitive stomachs. He is running bloodwork on her and will let me know what the results are tomorrow. She also had to get a couple of vacines that she was due for while she was there...............those always make her feel kinda icky so of course she has spit up a couple of times since we came home. She did eat a few Cherrios though and is running around again and seems happy! Hopefully the bloodwork will show that our vet is right and that she just has a sensitive tummy! Right now she is looking up at me as I am typing this DEMANDING my attention. I will post the results tomorrow.

Oh I hope and pray your vet is right, and that she'll be fine.

For future reference: Sick dogs should never be vaccinated, and it's best to give small dogs only one vaccine per vet visit, per month.

Sick dogs need their immune system to get better, vaccines tie up the immune system and can cause a prolonged illness or worse if the pup is indeed sick.

Vaccines are made strong enough to immunize a 100 pound dog, and many dogs that weigh far less than that experience problems when they receive multiple vaccines during one office visit.

Here it is 1:20pm and I am still waiting to hear the results of Rylee's bloodwork. I'm trying to be positive by thinking maybe this means that everything is perfectly normal and that is why he hasn't called me yet. I know he has the results because I called early this morning and the his assistant told me he would call me back. WOW..............this is torture!!!!

I just got the call...............her bloodwork came back perfect!!!! Thank you all for your support! I feel such relief!!!!
