YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Okay my infor may be way out of line. I don't know about fish oil. But 2 simple Xrays of knees (no sedation needed) and a palpatory exam by a general vet Office visit $45 Xrays 2 views $80 That is $125 plus our ever present taxes. Ps I don't buy fish oil supplements or glucosamine or chondrotin from the vets office.

| Those rates sound similar to what vets in my area charge. But vet bills vary a lot based on where you live. My dad lives in a rural area and pays significantly less than I do at the vet. In a big city you may pay 3 or 4 times as much. Bloodwork is, I think, $150 in my area, and a bile acid test is roughly $100. So the prices are basically the same as what you paid. My dogs have never needed an xray so I'm not sure about that one, but the price you said doesn't shock me at all. |
