If this were my dog and I were in your shoes, I wouldn't think twice about putting my feelings aside in order to save his life and this is exactly where you are with him.

I am not judging you but, you need to stop putting this on hold and do what's right for the health of your boy and do it now.

Rescue may be your only option in helping your boy if pleading and begging your Vet's office, family & friends (whoever!) to assist you in getting your boy cared for.

To prolong his discomfort is cruelty at best...and I felt it's time to tell you...stop wasting precious time and do what you have to for Walter!

I am so sorry you are in this situation...truly I am but, it's been too long and I'm afraid for your boy.

I did apply for Care Credit yesterday and was denied. The vet hosp said that if I surrender him, they will treat him and then will rehome him either thru someone in their office or thru a rescue center (who will most likely pay the costs). I am also going to attempt to express his anal glands and see if that helps. I am just out of options at this point. He has cataracts and what my vet called 8 months ago "a tiny tumor" on his eyelid. He is getting older and crabby and also has a tendency to snap at someone if they try to take him out of my arms. Probably not adoptable to anyone else. I am the only mommy he has ever known and I love him as much as I love my birth children. I just cant get a vet to help me! And I'm sorry, maybe I am selfish, but giving him up isnt an option for me.

What is going on with your little guy? It's been almost a week since you posted and this situation is become extremely dangerous. Please check back to let us know you have either been able to get the necessary vet care for him or that you have surrendered him to a rescue.
