Sending prayers for sweet George for a successful surgery and speedy recovery. It is comforting that he has the best medical care available.

Sorry he has to spend the night tonight, poor baby. I hope he can come home tomorrow.

Very sorry to hear about the CT diagnosis, but glad he doesn't appear to have any symptoms or limitations other than difficulty with anesthesia.

I spoke with the student assigned to him this evening and he said that George is raising the roof in the ICU.

I feel terrible...I know how stressed he gets. They put him in the unit so that he would get more attention...the surgeon told me that today she was going to do that since she could use his CT diagnosis as a reason for him to be in there. My poor baby.

My heart is breaking for you and George. I can imagine how hard it is for both of you. He will be home in your arms soon -- focus on that.

Prayers for him throughout his surgery and recovery... I think Tinkerbell is the same way... everytime I called for a status, someone always had her out of the kennel holding her bc she gave everyone a headache with her carryings on all day and night long. I think they sent her home early too because of it, lol. High maintenance diva she is!

What makes it even worse for him is that he is blind (heavy cataracts that are inoperable) and deaf. Poor guy is probably so terribly bewildered.

They had him in the back today and brought him back out for me to see him before I left. He got so excited and started licking my face...and then I had to send him back there.

I am just so sick that I could not stay up there...I just did not want to make my son have to stay at my house overnight to care for my pups. I am kind of kicking myself now though...he could have stayed at the hotel with me and just gone back in the morning. He would be on pain meds after surgery and not be as stressed out.

Missed your previous update....sorry to hear of the CT... but good they found it and are aware of it. Helps to make surgeries run smoother knowing in advance so they can be prepared...

Oh I didn't know he is blind and deaf... poor guy... did they allow you to leave a familiar blanket or bed or toy with him (something with scents from home or you on it)? Most times that doesn't help too much either, though, bc they know they're in a 'strange' place.

Yeah, they didn't realize how bad Tink would be till after the 3rd day when they started to back off on the meds. But her needs are totally different, she's just a brat that will hound you till she gets her way.

keeping you and george in my thoughts and prayers today for a successful surgery. fingers crossed it doesn't come back as cancer. he really is in the best of hands between you and a & m. poor little guy hopefully settled down some and it's really nice they put him where he would be monitored so closely and get more attention in the icu. will be checking in for an update on your sweet little man!
