Thank you so much, I can't wait to post that she's 100% healed, just feels like it's never going to get here. I just keep praying for her. I miss her so much, she's been at the Vet since her surgery because he doesn't want to take any chances. Hopefully my next update will be great news! Have a wonderful Christmas!

I have had many ortho surgeries done on pups and I have never heard of what your baby is going through. If this is not a board certified orthopedic surgeon who is doing all of this, I would definitely get a second opinion asap. We had a pup that a vet did some things to her leg to avoid sending him out for a plate and screws by a specialist and by the time we got him it was too late to save the leg. The ortho specialist tried, but to no avail.
I was told that a pin in a leg like this only works in 5% of cases.

Well....I did miss that she had that "halo" on her leg. That may have been ok..and the fact is is healing is good.
If you have any doubts though, you really should get another opinion.
As for casting, I rarely see that in dogs and they heal fine. HOpefully she will !
