| I hope Lulu gets a fast recovery. It is so sad to see our babies sick but in the long run Lulu is in good hands. Best of all she has a wonderful Mom. Susan |

| This mornings update...Lulu is perky & barking at the vet staff letting them know what she thinks. No vomiting or diarhhea. She's still on fluids but it looks good for her to be able to come home tomorrow. I can't wait to have her home!

I know exactly what you are going through as I just went through this with Jackson a month or so ago. Don't worry -- LuLu is in the right place and good hands. I missed Jackson sooo much and I actually cried when I left him.If it makes you feel better, he's over a month since the incident and he's doing fantastic. He stayed on IV fluids for over 24hrs at the hospital, had some subQ fluids that same week and was put on 3 different pills for about 10 days. He ate the RX food for the first 3 weeks, I think, and now he's on a regular lower fat food and he's been doing totally fine. ![]() Jackson ate a large amount of fatty people food the night before he started throwing up (sausage from pizza, chocolate cupcake, etc). So we are sure that is what caused his.

| YT 2000 Club Member | We just went through something similar with Tucker over the weekend. It was never confirmed that it was pancreatitis, but she said it could of been a mild case. A lot of things can bring on it on and Im thinking his was brought on by him being on predisone for his itching. He is still recovering but making more and more progress everyday. I will definitly keep Lulu in my thougths and prayers...

| Thank you all for your continued thoughts and prayers. I hope no one gets tired of my updates. Lulu is still doing great! She's still on IV fluids and still receiving the meds. She will get to try some food tomorrow and if that goes well & everything else looks good, she will get to come home!! ![]() I miss her so much & can't wait to snuggle up with her and give her some lovings. A few questions for those with experience with pancreatitis...I asked if she would need to be fed a special diet & they said she can go back to her normal food slowly, just no table foods (she didn't get that anyway...at least not intentionally.) Is this normal or should I look into switching her food) She eats TOTW High Prarie kibble and gets a small bit of wet mixed with kibble at night. She also takes glucosamine supplements for her LP and I have to wrap it in a small bite of cheese for her to eat it...from my research, this should be avoided now so what can I use to make her take her pill as she will not take it without the cheese. TIA everyone! My YT friends are awesome!!

| One more question...Lulu gets an Omego 3 supplement mixed with her wet/dry food mixture each night as well. I will double check with the vet about continuing this, but thought I would ask my YT friends too. Can this be continued or is it too much for her now?

| I'm sorry to hear about Lulu and can totally sympathize since my Barney has had two bouts of pancreatitis. With regards to the omega 3, I would say to hold off on this for a couple of months. Do you know what set her off?

| We dont know what set it off. She never had an issue before. I assume she got something that my kids may have dropped, but we don't know for sure.

| I agree with this. My late Molly had chronic pancreatitis and she used to take Omega 3, we had to completely cut this out. Never knew what set her off to her episodes.

| The vet said Lulu is a wild child this morning. She got her first meal of the prescription food & ate it like it was going out of style. It's looking very good for her to come home this afternoon. I hope my next update is telling you all that Lulu is home!
