Just found this thread and I'm so happy Summer is doing better. I hope she recovers quickly and it's a good sign that she is eating and her fever is gone.

This is such good news. Thank god their are such wonderful people in the world to take care of these sweet babies. My son is starting tovolunteer for a rescue group here in Georgia tomorrow, I can't wait to see how he likes it. He may be trying to bring home all the dogs.

Oh...that the Lord....I was so reluctant to check back on Summer's progress. So glad to see that sweet baby is improving. Bless you all!

When she is ready I want the best home for her no matter where that is!We want all our pups to have the ideal situation so they can have the best life possible.

I am so sure the YT prayers are helping this little one. One of the vets yesterday was commenting on what a fighter this little one is...she is such a little waif and yet is coming along. It is difficult to touch her....nothing but bones and skin and hair over them. Just heartbreaking. She wags her tail at people...I simply don't know how she can do that. They are so loving and wonderful...even when people treat them in such a horrific way.

Isn't that the truth? They have so much love that it is amazing they continue to give love back, even after being abused.

I don't know where I've been but I'm just now seeing this about Summer. I will never understand how people can be so cruel. I'm praying that Summer recovers and goes to a wonderful home. She deserves only the best. And if I've made any typos, I'm crying so hard I can hardly read any of this.

I just heard from the tech who is caring for Summer. She said that she is doing well today.

She said the vet has texted her a couple of times to make sure all is well. Summer will be going back to the clinic Tuesday morning.

Yes, they really have taken excellent care of her! I have been so pleased with them. Summer still has a way to go in her recovery, but I am quite sure now that she is going to be ok. I was so worried for a couple of days.

Summer is certainly a fighter! What a precious and brave little girl! Of course I cried reading this story and seeing the awful pictures...poor little baby.

What a wonderful team of angels she has watching over her and keeping her on her path to recovery!

I have been following up dates. We ( my sisters and myself) are still praying for her and the wonderful people who are caring for her. It is so hard to accept the fact that some people just don't care who they hurt, all they care about is what they want.
