You all are so kind. I am just one of many who save these pups on a daily basis. It is something I believe I was meant to do. When I retired I was lost and this has fulfilled me. :) I have always been a caretaker having been raised in a family of health care workers.....when I worked I cared for people...now I am caring for the pups. :) As I have said many times, I am not really special...it is what I believe God intended for me. We all have our own missions in life. |
We all thank God for you. You're the best!!:thumbup: |
Summer has a furever home! Summer will be going to her furever home tomorrow!!!! It will be a sad day for me and for my pups, but I am SO excited for her. She will have a little fur brother to play with. While with me, Summer has played daily with my boys. She is not much for the girls....little flirt that she is. :D I am so sure all will be great for her...but please keep her in your thoughts and prayers that she adjusts well and her new brother loves her as much as my boys do. :) |
What GREAT news!!! I'm so glad to hear this! |
Awww....here's prayers and hopes for little Summer and that she will delight in her new home and all there will love her. I know very well it will be a sad day for you, nevertheless, because you will miss her so. |

Wow, this girl has come so far and had an excellent care plan, no doubt. I couldn't read much without losing it so stopped when I'd gotten the picture. It is amazing this girl is alive and going to a new life. Thank you for all your work, Linda. Amazing job and YHR is an amazing organization. |
Poor baby. She's beautiful. Hope she heals up ok. |
Wow, it has been a year and a half since this thread was started, and such a long journey for Summer. I'm sending my thoughts and prayers that her new home is wonderful and that she continues to get the love that she has become used to while staying with LadyJane (Linda) and her gang. Linda, is there any chance we can see one more picture of Summer before she goes? It has been amazing following her progress. |
Poor baby. So but so lucky I almost got a heart attack when my neightbor's two 95-pound Rottweilers went after my tiny dog IN my property. To my luck a good men stop the attack. Sadly, the owner of those dogs was as bitchy as her dogs-- she yelled when I presented vet bill. I didn't get a refund, but at least got Animal Control on her for leaving her dogs run free. Hope she recovers |

A beautiful post, MauiGirl, about the little girl we all held so close to our heart when she came into rescue with so many medical problems. Ditto here. Congrats Linda and Summer on a wonderful adoption. I am thrilled for you both. |
AWWWWWW Linda this is such WONDERFUL news for Summer. I am glad that she has found her forever home. Summer looks just wonderful. She had such great care and love while you helped her recover from the awful things that happened to her. She knows what love is and she will take that with her to her new home. |
Since this thread is so long... are there any updated pics? The original story was just horrible. Was she used in a dog fight or something? |
That is such great news!! I'm am thrilled for Summer! Linda you have made her into a beautiful little girl. I pray the new owner will keep you updated in the future! I would love to continue to see this baby bloom! |
