God you certainly have had your hands full this week. Sorry that you have had so many issues with the pups. I am happy Summer is doing well, I will now switch gears and pray for Sunny, poor darling.

I am so sorry to hear about SunnyD sending prayers. I am so glad Summer is happy at her furver home.

Poor Sunny D. :( But that is wonderful news for Summer. I hope her new home brings her lots of love and joy that she so much deserves.

So glad to hear about Summer. That precious girl has been through a lot...many thanks to you and YHR for giving her another chance at life and a happy home. Praying for Sunny D...hope he's well soon.

Summer left this afternoon. Her new brother is adorable and I really think they will do very well together. It was bittersweet....I was happy to see that she really took to her new mom and skin sister! :) They spent quite a bit of time here getting to know her before they left to drive back to Dallas. She is going to have a wonderful life! I am so happy for her! Here is a pic they sent me earlier of her in her Cloud Nine bed that I made for her. I will post more pics as I get them.

I went late tonight to see Sunny....they are wonderful and let me visit late because I had company all day. A friend had visited him earlier but I really wanted him to know I had not deserted him. He is so sick. They had to put a feeding tube in because it has been a week without food. I took him some things to eat...and he actually licked a tiny bit of yogurt off of my finger. I will be going in the morning to see him. Hopefully his appetite will be improved. He has protein losing nephropathy, pancreatitis, and suspected lymphangectasia. Really a sick boy but his vitals are stable and they started him on steroids this morning. He is also on mirtazapine. Hopefully with the tube feedings he will want to eat more. Also, the meds should help to make him feel better and stimulate his appetite. Just hope we can pull him out of this. I was pleased to see that he was fairly bright considering his illness.

My heart is breaking for little Sunny D. He has come so far from his sad beginnings. He is in my thoughts and prayers along with the rest of your pack.

With the saddness there is happiness too! Sweet Summer has her forever home and she looks darling in her new Cloud 9 bed. (I do believe we have the same print here, too. :))

I am so happy that Summer is in a great placement. She is such a special girl that deserves nothing but the best. Poor Sunny, my prayers are with him in the hopes that he responds well to the medication.

What a beautiful cloud nine bed with your smell on it to comfort her in her transition. How wonderful for Summer that she will also have a brother to play with. Best wishes Summer.

Poor Sunny D. I was trying to respond last night when I couldn't get on YT. He looks so sad. I hope things are going better for him today.

Oh my goodness, Linda, I can't imagine how you do it all with these sick babies. I am overwhelmed when just one of mine has a tummy ache or scratches at their ears! To have a house full of little ones, and then to have to leave them to go check on Sunny D in the hospital must be exhausting! I tell you what, It gives me some gratitude today that mine are all healthy at the moment. I'm going right over to Yorkie Haven Rescue to make a donation in Sunny D's name...bless his little heart. The internist found that the tip of Sunny's tongue is necrotic from a blood clot! This is a result of the protein losing nephropathy...they are at risk of clots. He is on aspirin now to prevent clots. I had just never heard of this one! She said she has seen it before. Anyway....this may be why he is not eating!! I surely hope this is it! It has been 8 days since he ate anything. :(

His labs are looking better so she is hoping to increase his feedings tomorrow and possibly he can come home on Tuesday. Of course he will still have the feeding tube, but it would be nice to get him out of there. I know it is hard on him. When I went there today he was wagging his tail, but he looked so sad when I left. :(
