| So glad to hear that he is home and doing so much better. Jackson said to tell Teddy that he is his hero. He is a wimp to shots so the fact the Teddy endured so much and looked so cute in those last pics ups his status to Hero in Jackson's eyes. So glad that things are calmer in your home.

| Teddy Update Today my little Teddy was completely back to himself. All of the lumps and bumps are now gone, including the turkey waddle He was such a sleepyhead this morning though! As the saying goes, you can't get any sleep in the hospital so he was sure conked out. I do want to say -- in hindsight (which is always 20/20), I should have taken him at the first sign of swelling. I am not one to wait, but it was very hard to tell at first if the bump was localized, and when it didn't worsen, I figured it would be overkill to rush to the ER at 3 AM. I have lived through this once before with Barney, and it was a completely different presentation and very obvious that he needed help. So I was on the fence with Teddy. I also take this as a reminder to be very observant with our dogs. Had I not looked at Teddy in the face as I was rushing around that morning, I might not have noticed the blown up eyes and redness. It is hard to see these things in a hairy little dog! Thank god I noticed, because I worry about what might have been had I just gone about my day. I still don't know what bit him - I am thinking an indoor spider? Perhaps a flying insect in the house? I canvassed our bedroom and saw nothing so it's a mystery!

| Teddy is a lucky boy, and has a great mommy! So glad he's doing better. (And, I wish MY turkey waddle was just from an allergic reaction and would disappear soon. )

| I'm so happy that all of the lumps and bumps and turkey waddle are gone and that Teddy is doing well. It is hard to see things on these little hairy pups. They do require close up examination. I keep joking that I want the fancy headgear that the docs have with the magnifying lenses. Still, I doubt anything would escape your keen eye and senses. Glad your little boy is all better.

| Teddy is still reacting to this bite!! Poor Baby Teddy woke me up by vomiting on the bed and shaking. He seems to have some discomfort in his stomach. His turkey waddle area of the neck is swelling a little. My vet said that the reaction can take several days which is why the benedryl must be continued. They did his blood work while there and it was excellent, so I don't think anything else is going on with him. He did not want to eat initially but when I put his pills in some peas, he became very excited and did eat that (he loves peas). He doesn't seem to feel well, but I'm not sure taking him back to the vet right now is in his best interest. I am thinking of just checking him at noon, and if no improvement, see the vet. This is kind of scary and I thought yesterday I was at the end of this. Whatever bit my Teddy must have been very venomous! For anyone interested, I found this video that I thought was interesting on home care for bites.

| Oh my gosh Cathy! Just seeing this, please keep us updated on how he is doing. This really worries me that he is still having a reaction. Makes me wonder if it wasn't a spider bite??? Prayers for Teddy and you.
