Rosie not feeling good. When it rains it pours at my house. After everything I found out about Mikki, now Rosie is not feeling good at all. :( Rosie got her shots yesterday. We have never had any problems. Today when I got up she was shaking. She will not eat and only wants me to hold her. :( Vet things she is sore from shots and recommended baby aspirin. Has anyone else had this happen? Was it just from soreness? |
Last year Bogie was kind of lethargic after his shots, but he didn't shake or anything. This year I had them split up over two months. |
We are so sad to hear Rosie isn't feeling good, I have never had any real problems but Tessie and Hobbes got there shots last week and they laid around more than usual. Maybe she just wants mommy to give her a little extra attention since you have Mikki now. Give her hugs from us, hope she feels better soon. |
I'm sorry that Rosie isn't feeling well. My shih tzu Oliver wasn't himself for about 24 hours after his rabies vaccination this spring. He was shaking a bit and hid under my bed. When he had his shots as a puppy he never had a reaction, so I was surprised when he did this time. I hope that Rosie feels better soon! |
Poor Rosie :( Hopefully she is just suffering from DramaQueenItis and isn't having any sort of reaction  Is she having any other symptoms? |
Thanks so much. I just hate it when my baby is sick. :(:( I am just holding her. She is all wrapped up in a blanket. She is not shaking any more but just not her self. She still has not eaten anything so I am going to boil some chicken. She loves chicken so I am hoping it will work. Funny thing is Mikki got the same shots and she is just fine today. |

Just laying around and not wanting to eat. I haven't seen any other symptoms beside the shaking which has stopped. I am at a loss here. :( |
Just saw all what's going on with your babies, sorry been a litle stressed out and haven't been on YT, just sending prayers your way for poor little Rosie and Mikki. Like the other posts said, hopefully she's being just a drama queen. Gizmo has his little paws crossed for both his little girlfriends! |
What shots did she have? I've heard kennel cough vaccine can actually give a bout of kennel cough. I would probably ask the vet if he wanted you to give her a little Benadryl in case she is having a little reaction. Cricket used to get a little lethargic after vaccines but she would still eat. |
Poor Rosie. I hope she feels better soon! Which shots did she have? |
I'm so sorry that everything is happening all at once. Teddy has gotten pretty ill from getting too many shots done at once :( I hope little Rosie feels better soon |
Poor Rosie nothing makes us feel worse then not knowing what to do.. Sounds like she just need you right now. Hope she feels better very soon |
Rosie finally ate some food. She is still laying around and wants only me. She is still not herself. For some unknown reason, today Mikki wants to be mean to her. She jumped up and bit Rosie for no reason. So, I am not too happy with her right now. But who can stay mad at them for long? They gave her rabies, parvo virus, kennel cough, and Dist/Hepatitis/Para/parvo (dy). At least this is how it is listed on the bill. I was in the room so I know there were only three shots given. So I may have typed something twice here. I don't know. Does it make sense to anyone else? Rosie has never had any problems with them before. However, after this I think they will need to be split up as some of you suggested that you do. |
Glad to hear she ate some food. Hopefully she will be back to herself after a day of rest. Definitely split up her shots in the future. Mikki! Be nice. :) |

Does it matter which ones to do together? Or do I need to separate it into 3 different days? |
My vet has started giving one at a time and two weeks in between vaccines to these little ones. He said he just thinks the little breeds do better w one at a time. (He used to give more than one together when I started going to him.) I'm glad to hear Rosie is eating for you. Will keep her in our prayers! |
Wow, that sounds like a lot of shots at once. I only let the vet administer one vaccination per visit. I hope she starts feeling better soon! |
Rosie hope you are feeling better:) |

That was an awful lot of vaccines at once. I would split them up next time too and have the rabies vaccine done all by itself. Honestly, I would even do research on the kennel cough one and see if it is necessary in your area. (Of course, my opinion is a little jaded because Piccolo had a delayed reaction to vaccines and she cannot have them any more.) I also think Mikko is also taking advantage of Rosie not feeling well. Hopefully, she will start feeling better soon. Sending hugs and positive thoughts. |
Rosie is actually moving around a little on her own. Her and Mikki even had a little cat fight that Rosie started. I think she was getting her back. She is back in my lap now but appears to be feeling a little better. Not 100% yet but better than just sleeping on my shoulder. This is the first time shots have ever affected her this way. However, I am convinced that next year they need to be given separately. I hoping by tomorrow she will be back to her normal self. Thanks for everything! |
Ok, Rosie has starting doing something else. I really don't know how else to describe it other than her bottom part of her mouth looked like it was "quivering". Does that make sense? I have seen her do it twice now. Can anyone tell me what is going on? :(:( |

I am not liking my baby not feeling good. This will be the last vaccine I give her if it is a reaction. We have never had this happen before so I don't understand at all. Do you think it is something to do with the vaccines she got yesterday? |

I wish I had an answer for you but I have no idea. Hoping she feels better soon |
Aw, poor little girl!! I hope Rosie starts feeling better soon!! My cocker had the same reaction as Rosie when she got her rabies shot a couple years ago. She's had several shots before with no problems. It really scared me. She would shake and I couldn't get her to eat for several days and just didn't move around much. She is due next year for her rabies shot. She is 13 years old so I am hoping the vet can excuse her from it as I definitely don't want to go through that again. |
My vet recommends three weeks between shots. I only give DHPP and rabies and they are given three weeks apart. The symptoms you have described does not sound like what I would consider an emergency...I have had pups get sick from shots before. Usually that lasts for 24 hours. I just reread your post...not awful shots at once...but I still would not do it. For many years they gave the DHPP and rabies together, but the recommendation now is to separate them in these small pups. My guess is she is feeling badly from the DHPP. That is common. |

Did you notice any lip quivering? The other symptoms sound the same. She is acting better and even playing with Mikiki a little. But twice I have seen the quivering. I may just have to take her in. :( |
Aww poor Rosie. That was all of vaccinating all at once. We\'re still sending prayers and crossed paws. Be sure to call and let the vet know, I know when Gizmo got a good round of his shots, his belly got really upset and he was very lazy but other then that, he didn\'t show any signs of pain. Nothing there has changed? No storms coming? No recent food changes? |
