Yes, it does! I really must stop doing that! I will be sleeping with my not feeling well baby right beside me. I don't think it will be too peaceful. Lol. I will be sleeping with one eye open to keep an eye on her. |
Glad to see things are looking a little better for poor little miss Rosie. Keep us updated with how she's feeling tomorrow morning! |

OMG I just read through this whole thread, and I am so sorry little Rosie is dealing with this. I feel so bad for both of you going through this!!!! I waited 4 weeks from the time Bambi got her booster to the time she got her rabies and the only reaction she had to it was to sleep for 3 hours and then she was fine. I haven't gotten the bordatella shot yet cause I don't board her adn I groom her myself so it's not really necessary, but I have to get it before the vet will do her spay so I'll get it in a month and then get her spayed a month after that. I will always get them at separate times from now on for them!!!! (((((((hugs)))))))) |
Thank you so much. It has been a rough day. We need all the hugs we can get. :animal-pa |

She says she wants all her patients to vote for 3 year rabies shot too. |
I hope your little girl gets better very quickly. You have given Rosie such tender loving care, and I'm sure that is helping her a great deal. I was advised to give buffered aspirin to bring down a fever, but that was many years ago. Once we discovered that Ashley had an enlarged heart when she was close to eleven years old, our vet would not allow her to have any more shots. She probably had built up a level in her blood to protect her, but she was walked daily and lived for more than six years more without any further immunizations. My thoughts and prayers are with you and both of your little girls. |

Thank you so much for the kind words. I love her to death and can't not stand to see her sick. I am not sure what to do for future shots. My DH is saying no more. I will have to discuss with my vet but I don't like the reaction either. DH is quick to make decisions without looking at everything. Lol. Thanks for the prayers. It means a lot. |

Oh he so is! But my DH has to be the "tough guy". With a heart that melts for two little yorkies. ;) |
Best kind there is! |
I sure hope she is feeling a lot better now. We try to spread their shots out, and sometimes it bothers Maxine |

Thanks Steve. I know you have been dealing with a lot with Maxine. Glad she is doing much better too. |

If you give bordetella or anything else, I would separate that too. It isn't necessary in every case, but I would do it especially after a reaction of any kind. Sending gentle hugs for your baby. |
Just checking in to see if Rosie is feeling any better this morning.... |
Good Morning, checking on Miss Rosie this morning, hope she is feeling better. |
How old is she? So all of these are given annually? The vet can premedicate with Benadryl next time and send her home with a pain med made for dogs. They should be split up and the only one that should be given yearly (if you do it at all) is bordatella. Rylee's protocol is: DHPP and rabies every 3 years (after one year booster) Lepto yearly. Bordatella yearly (my jury is still out on this one - he needs to be "board-able"). I'd probably play around with the DHPP, but the rescue where I got him is watching to make sure he stays current... Ellie's protocol: Rabies every 3 years. Distemper and parvo when titer is low AND I'm in the mood to get it. Because everything sets her tummy off, I have chosen to be very minimalist with her. This protocol is definitely not recommended by most vets and is not one that should be followed in most cases. |
Hope pretty little Rosie girl is feeling better this morning. ((hugs)) from Jada and Bogie |
Well my darling Rosie Love is back to normal today! :):) I swear you would have never known she was sick at all. I know it had to be from the shot! She woke up this morning, climb on my chest, and started licking me. Then she took off after Mikki. They have been running around half the morning. :D:D I am so glad to see her feeling better. Thanks everyone for all the input and well wishes!! |

Linda you are brilliant!!! Thanks for helping through this yesterday! |
Has nothing to do with IQ...only the experience of having had a zillion furbabies. :) |

I'm just seeing this...Thank goodness she is better today. I hate it when they're sick and can't tell us what's wrong. hugs to Rosie :) |
