OMG Laurie, I am so glad you found a vet who could get that horrid creature out of poor little Jersey. Poor little guy. Give him a get well hug from us.

So happy you got it taken out and earlier than Monday too!! I bet Jersey is way happier too!!!

I'm so glad Jersey is doing better. How big was the bump? Was it soft, hard? Princess doesn't go in the yard that often & never for that long but I have seen a ton of rabbits this year out there.:eek:

Me too! I just told my husband to get rid of everyone of them. :eek::eek: Lol. We have Beagles. They will chase them away. :D

I'm in a complex that is huge, over 400 units, and every where we walk around here at night or early a.m. those dang things are out. And they are HUGE, too! Princess is 8 pounds & I bet they rival her in size.:eek: Funny thing is, Princess NEVER sees them! LOL, they must have a great disguise for her.:rolleyes:;)

I just keep thinking about that bump on her back that appeared out of no where...:confused::eek:

Wow, I don't think ours are that big! Lol. If my Beagle sees one she will chase it all over the place. They usually run away thank goodness. You are lucky Princess doesn't chase them.

I was reading about them and they can get them from rubbing a piece of grass. It is that easy. Then it said they get on the dog and then get in the skin. :eek: But it sounds easy to pick up for dogs and humans! :eek::eek::eek: I was pretty grossed out from the reading.

About the bump on her back, I think I would be asking my vet just to be on the safe side.

The vet said it's "just a bump" but this thread is making me over think things, I think.:p Karen should post that bubble we talked about before again, then we can both go out in it!;):cool:

Thank you. It was weird because it looked like a bite that was infected at first. He was on antibiotic for 7 days. It wasn't getting better it looked like a big mosquito bite with a pin hole in it. It was soft

Eew! We had that happen to a bunny about 30yrs ago! I know it's super gross, but at least you know what is wrong with him and know how to fix it! Big hugs to you and Jersey!
