Owned by Bella & Tibbs Donating Member | ![]() So my 17 week old baby Tibbs is really starting to scare me the day before yesterday Saturday he started throwing up and having loose stools.....He did it most of the day Saturday I called the vet he told me to keep him hydrated that it was probably something he ate (I had just gave him a new treat he had never had before) Well Sunday he was perfect had formed bowl movements no throwing up and ate good. He was fine all day today until about 1 hour ago then back to vomiting 2 small piles the size of a half doller yellowish liquid and a big pile with a big part of his food from today. Also he is having the watery stool he has had 3. Any ideas of what could cause this. Could it be the stress of him being crated ( He has been crated almost 4 weeks for a broke leg) any advice would be really great! Also my other baby Bella has had no s/s of any of this. I called the vet's office and he has still no returned my call. ![]()

| ![]() I'm not the one to advise but I wonder if it would hurt to put a little bit of sugar in his mouth to be sure he's not getting hypoglycemic after the vomiting and diarrhea episodes? And do you have an Emergency Vet scoped out for your area in case you don't hear back soon and might need to get him in ASAP? I don't want to scare you and it probably nothing bad but just be prepared - go ahead and line up an ER vet and call them, get directions, etc.

Good advice. I would possibly call my vet again. If not, I think I would take him to the ER vet if the symptoms continue.

| ![]() I'm sorry to hear that Tibbs is sick. I hope it's nothing but a tummy ache. Prayers for you and Tibbs.

| ![]() Oh, so glad you are going to another vet. Keep a little sugar water in his system till then, is what I think I would do if it were Tibbe as there doesn't seem to be a surgery question. Are his gums pink and the pink color coming right back when you press? If not, I believe I would get to that vet now and make them see him now.

Owned by Bella & Tibbs Donating Member | ![]() Ever since 2 he has not vomited or anything he is drinking well I gave him pedialyte last night. He is doing good this morning just a little agitated at the cone. Yeah I watched his gums all night they are pink and have good refill time of less than 2 seconds. He acts completely normal this morning playing in his crate and being himself.I am of course keeping a close eye on him and if he starts to show any s'/s of this I will take him in ASAP!

Owned by Bella & Tibbs Donating Member | ![]() So I went to the vet they did an x-ray to make sure he didn't have a blockage anywhere he was all clear and they tested him for worms which was negative. Said it was defiantly the no chew on his cast . They re warped him and said to keep my regularly scheduled appt tomorrow with the regular vet to see if the cast could come off. So Tibbs is A OK but I am worried that my usual vet is gonna be rude to me tomorrow... oh well I really don't care. But thanks for all the prayers and good messages!
