I'm not the one to advise but I wonder if it would hurt to put a little bit of sugar in his mouth to be sure he's not getting hypoglycemic after the vomiting and diarrhea episodes? And do you have an Emergency Vet scoped out for your area in case you don't hear back soon and might need to get him in ASAP? I don't want to scare you and it probably nothing bad but just be prepared - go ahead and line up an ER vet and call them, get directions, etc.
