![]() Although I trust my vet with more eye stuff than I would most general docs/surgeons, this case I would be off to the specialist.

| ![]() Ladyjane, on the website you sent me there was a long list of possible reasons for blepharitis and food allergies was one of them...so I was just thinking about his diet and any possible changes that may have contributed to it. The only reason I'm brainstorming is because it's the only thing I can do right now...I feel really useless and I hate that I've been giving him medicine for five days and it hasn't made him any better. I'm really frustrated/upset right now so I'm sorry if my paragraph isn't very coherent. Maximo, thank you for your thoughts and prayers...I will be calling the opthamologist tomorrow morning and I pray that they can take me in because I don't really know how it works. Quote:

| ![]() Sorry...I missed all of your posts while I was typing. Yeah, that's why I didn't think it was a food allergy either, because liek you said it should affect both eyes. I think I was more HOPING that it was a food allergy...because at least that can easily be rectified. I've been to every single vet in Tallahassee and I have yet to find one that I am 100% comfortable with...and unfortunately I've already ran out of vets. That is why I am constantly on here asking you guys for your advice because I just don't feel 100% confident with any vet here. I don't think they're terrible or anything...I just don't know what it is...I'm rarely someone to question authority but when it comes to my dog...I just feel that I need to find someone that I'm 100% confident in. Anyways, I will keep you guys posted tomorrow. You guys don't understand how much it means to me that you care about Teddy. I'm tearing up right now because I think I would be a total nut case right now if I didn't have your support. THanks again.

| ![]() You were clear Rosey, and we know allergies are on the list. We just think it is probably something else at this point. I have been in your shoes, trying to figure things out and desperately wanting to fix things for my baby. Try not to drive yourself nuts, and try not to read too much on the Internet. I can tell you from experience that it will make you worry more for no reason. Try to get some rest and give Teddy some gentle hugs from me and the Maxman. ![]()

| ![]() I agree with LJ, the office should take you right away. Be clear about his current condition and that this is the second time around with an problem. All I have to do it say "eye" to our general vet's office, and they want us there right away. A specialist should be just as accommodating.

| ![]() Be sure to mention that the eye swelled more today, even with medication.

| ![]() I am frustrated for you. Did you make an appointment for Wednesday? I wish you didn't have to wait that long.

| ![]() How does the swelling looks today? I wonder if you should have your regular vet take a look today while you are waiting to see the specialist. It's a tough call, especially because of what you indicated last night that you don't have 100% confidence in any of the vets you have tried. Plus, you don't want unnecessary treatment or the wrong treatment. If you do see a regular vet today or tomorrow, he/she should be understanding that you intend to see a specialist.
