![]() ![]() I agree that a board certified vet is in order. I have had many pups over the years with LP. Many times when a knee is bothering them, a vet will put them on an anti inflammatory for a week or two to see if there is improvement, thus avoiding unnecessary surgery! If the knee does not improve on the anti inflammatory, then usually it is necessary to look further into the problem as sometimes they can have a torn ligament. Any vet who refused to refer me to a specialist would not be vetting my pups. I do not allow any regular vets to do orthopedic surgery on my pups or my fosters. Besides all of that, a second opinion is always a good idea! Be sure to check out the ACVS website! ![]()

| ![]() that's ok I do stuff like this all the time (hahaha). I wasnt going to let this go, these dogs are like my kids, not really sure how this happened. Even with my hubby, he grew up in the south where dogs were always outside dogs and dogs were never treated like part of the family. He is worse than me with them, he carries them around the house like they are babies. Even right now as I am typing this, they are laying on our bed like they own the place (and I think they do!!!).
