| ![]() I checked and it's not on the list for poisonous foods here...but other sites indicate that it is not advised that dogs eat them. I repeat Teddy did NOT ingest it...he ran out when I open the gates found an almond and put in his mouth but I quickly removed it in FULL. I was so frightened....still am but would still like to know for future reference if anyone here knows about almonds and dogs. ![]()

| ![]() This actually makes me feel good that I'm sllergic to nuts and they don't come in my home. Glad I found this, had no idea dogs had issues with them too.

| ![]() I wish we had some way of knowing how much a dog has to ingest before it becomes toxic. There's no way to know if 1 almond would kill them, or if it takes several handfuls. That would be so useful to know, for all of the toxic foods. |

| ![]() I read that sometimes the problem is toxic foods in small amounts are not a huge problem, but dogs are so attracted to these foods that they tend to ingest way more than they should. I heard that if a dog eats one M&M it won't kill him, but after eating one, if a bowl of them is available, they will consume the bowl and be in big trouble. I think there's a poison control number for pets. They would probably know what and how much is too much, and when I called poison control for people they were full of good info and were more than happy to talk about it. They should put this info on the packaging. |
