My Lucy keeps throwing up and won't eat!!

Thanks for all the well wishes! Lucy is doing much better, she is slowly getting back to her normal independent self!
I have a question for you all: She will have nothing to do with the food I was giving her, I planned on mixing the old food with the new for awhile to get her used to something new that is better for her but when I tried to give her a few nuggets of the old stuff she wanted nothing to do with it. I am not sure if that is because I was feeding her small amounts of boiled chicken or if there is another reason (maybe she is extremely smart and she thinks the old food is what was making her sick).
So, I wonder how much longer do I feed her boiled chicken and how and when do I introduce another new food? I would like to do a combination of dry and wet food (of the new food) but I am not sure how to start all of this. I am sure my new helpful friends can help me because you have much more experience with these little ones and I am a fairly new mama of a yorkie! Advice please!

Very happy to hear that Lucy is doing much better. Chuck the old food. I would try introducing the new food immediately. She may fuss and try to hold out for the chicken, but keep trying.

I went to Lea's Pet Products today and I am sooo happy I did, they had a wonderful variety of good dog foods and the ladies there had so much knowledge and advice!! I went with Fromm, because you told me about it and because that was the first thing they suggested for little dogs too!! I am going to get her off the chicken today and try a small amount of the Fromm and we will see how it goes!
She is still not quite herself but I am sure that is because she has not had her normal amount of food and her energy is low because of that but otherwise she is doing well.
She did poop and it was quite soft-I assume it's from eating only chicken yesterday?! I am hoping that doesn't become a problem.

Her stool may have been soft because her system is still recovering. Typically chicken or any type of pure protein will make it firmer. Overfeeding can also cause loose stools, although that wouldn't be the case here.

If the stool continues to be loose, I would follow up with your regular vet.

Maybe go easy on the new food and indulge her on the chicken if she still wants that. Whichever, don't worry if her appetite doesn't fully return today or tomorrow. She has been through a lot.

I hope she likes the Fromm and that it works well for her.

She seems to like the Fromm, I gave her a very small handful and she keeps going over to eat a few nuggets here and there so I think it will be a good change for her!
