| ![]() I got some Nutiva Coconut Oil from GNC...... So, last night, I sat in the bathroom and cleaned Riley's ears out with it..... with a cotton ball. - He Looooooooooooooved it!!!! ![]() ![]() After I brought him back into the living room, he actually went back into the bathroom and sat there whining for me to do it some more!! [What In The World?!?!] Silly Boy!! What a Huuuge switch from just a week ago, when he would not let me go near his ears!!!! =) They still look pink inside though...one ear moreso than the other. He is on Clavamox until next Tuesday..... and he is supposed to go back for a "Re-Check" next week. |

| ![]() Theresa, I'm sorry I didn't see your thread until now. Praying that Riley's ear problems are resolved soon. Happy to read that is already feeling better.

| ![]() I took Riley in for his recheck, of his ears, this morning. The Vet said they look much much better..... Said he looks like a new dog..... She said she could see a teeny bit of fluid left.... She took him in the back and they cleaned his ears, again..... and said she thinks she got it all. She said she wanted to send me home with some VIRBAC CORIUM - 20 EAR CLEANER FOR DOGS and wants me to use it once a week. I asked if I could get it online? She said more thank likely. They were going to charge me $21 for 8oz. I found it online for $6.09 Hopefully this will take care of the problem. ![]() |

| ![]() Glad Riley got a good report from the vet! Sometimes the CO will make their ears a bit red for a day or two, especially if they have a problem going on with their ears... did with mine anyway. The CO heats up to their body temp too it seems... don't know it this causes some of the redness or not. I get a good bit of CO down in the ear canal and massage the area on the side of the neck where the ear canal is, then let them shake their head to remove the excess. I think it coats the ear really well so gunk and stuff moves out easier. Mine don't mind it at all, even my cats accept it well (they eat it too!)(I think I have weird cats though) ![]()

| ![]() Hi, I saw where you had posted about Tresaderm and your yorkie not liking it. I have a little yorkie pup who we had to take off of it because he was sleeping a lot, had glassy eyes, and actually lost weight while on it. He had eat mites was the reason he was on it. We took him off of it but I'm wondering what it was about the Tresaderm that caused your yorkie not to like it? Plus, it actually caused our little Rocky to have low blood sugar, he's only 2.5 pounds. Thanks! |

The vet confirmed that Riley had an allergic reaction to it. The inside of his ears becamr beet red and he had little teeny White Blisters in them while using it. His vet gave him put him On an antibiotic, Clavamox, to clear them up. | |
