I'm glad it stopped at the ER. I hope she will quickly improve. I know that had to be really scarey.

I just brought Holly home from the hospital. It was hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. I'm so glad I brought her to the hospital. She is dong well. She needs to be on antibiotics for 10 days and small feeds every 2-4 hours for the next couple of days. Gracie is so happy to have her sister home, as are we. Thanks again for all your support. When in doubt, never hesitate to take your baby to the ER. They are so little that they can dehydrate and go downhill very fast. The emergency vet said anytime a little dog has runny diarrhea with blood in it, if no formed stool at all, they need to go to the vet ASAP.

So glad Holly is home!! Feel bad though poor Holly has HGE. She's lucky to have a mommy that takes such good care of her!

Glad everything turned out well. When Frisco had similiar symptoms, they did x-rays and Barium Test and determined it was a blockage....they did surgery and found nothing.....been fine ever since

.....they did do a biopsy on his Liver ....said they didn't like the way it looked....test came back with chronic Hepititas of the Liver....guess it was a good call after all. That was at least 5 years ago.

There is a flu going around for dogs. I took my molie to the vet this morning and he diagnosed her with a viral infection, I check it online and found out, it come from Kennel cough. I thought I do not take her around other dogs. But I took her to the groomers for a groom and she was around other dogs, last week she had a cough. She is now on antibiotics, and a small amount of food. she through up a lot of bloody looking stuff, and black diarrhea. She is just laying around and doesn't want to eat anything. I had another dog, named Maggie, she got pancreaitis, with bloody diarrhea and bloody vomit. They put her on fluids because of dehydration. Lost a lot of weight.
Please pray for molie, she is so little also.

Glad to hear she is better. Cali had HGE twice and it is a very scary disease. I am so glad you took her right in.
