I just read this. I'm so glad to hear that your girls are ok. I have a Muffin too. She's a little piggy and eats everything. If I don't watch closely she'll eat Boomers food too.:( Good thinking on your part....I would have never thought to check for artificial sweeteners. |

Prayers still continue for both of them. |
Took Cassie down to the ER today, just to check out her breathing for my own peace of mind. At times she seemed restless, there was some head bobbing, which I think ocurred before, and intermittently there seemed to be some heavy breathing off and on. It's difficult to check her gums because there is such bad lighting in our house, even with a flashlight, especially at night, and also her gums have a purplish discoloration to them. Anyway, they said given what we'd been through they didn't blame me for being concerned, but they think the breathing problem is resolved, and her restlessness might be related to an upset tummy, given the rich food she was getting in the ER. She did have a soft potty experience. All in all I am relieved, and I hope the day will come soon, when I am not so paranoid that I watch her every breath and run to the ER at the drop of a hat. Hope it gets back to normal soon. I really do need to sleep LOL. But again, I am eternally grateful to God and all his angels. :-) |
I'm glad her breathing was ok. I think it's to be expected that her tummy might be upset a bit, especially, as small as she is. I hope she'll be much better tomorrow. She's such a little doll baby!:p |
I am so glad that both your babies are home with you and pray that they both are back to norm soon! |

Update Hi all, Just a note to tell everyone that the girls are doing very well. Just came back from my Vet today and she says they are fine. Gave me lots of Bach Flower and Homeopathic supplements for liver support and other vitamin and mineral support. She says Cassie will need a chest Xray in about a month, but she sounds fine, and so does Muffie. Cassie ate lots of poached skinless boneless chicken breast and so did Muffie. My Vet says that they are still in recovery, so not to worry about a balanced diet just yet. Just give them what they will eat. So that is what I am doing. Cassie has been sleeping with me every night. I might let her sleep with Muffin tonight, we'll see. Anyway, I think our long terrible journey has finally come to a most wonderful and excellent end, and I am grateful to all of you for your love and support. You all kept me sane, in an insane time of terrible grief and terror. Blessings to one and all. Much Love and light to all who walked this arduous path with us, Shellie, Cassie and Muffin:love: |
what a great ending to a story...I'm glad to hear they are both doing so well! |
This is wonderful news! I am sure you are on top of the world having your girls home with you. Hugs. |
They are doing so great, I truly AM blessed and on cloud 9 and on TOP of the WORLD!!!!YAY!!!!!!!! So relieved, so grateful and so happy that now I will be able to actually sleep (LOL) :-) |
So glad to hear they are both doing better... You weren't being paranoid about the breathing and purple gums... taking her to the vet was right and just her excitement at 'going' could make her gums 'pink up' again. Follow your instincts... |
