I'm so happy for you. I hope your girls continue to improve and will be back to being the old Cassie and Muffin very soon.:) |
Cassie seemed to be breathing hard a while ago. I didn't know if I was paranoid, or if it was really happening, so I took her into my bedroom and put her down on my fluffy white cool blanket. I caressed her, put the ceiling fan on very low (it;s stuffy and hot in this house) and muted the sound on the TV. Also, the hair on her leg was tangled and knotted to hair from her chest. I cut lose the hair on her leg, and just kept lightly stroking her. She seems to be breathing much better. She is laying very quietly on my bed with her eyes closed, and every now and then opens her eyes and looks around to make sure I am still there. I think she is alright. I'm praying no more ER visits!!!! |
I am so glad both are fine and doing well! |
It's probably just her Mommy being paranoid but good that your staying on top of it. I'm so happy that they are both home with you now. I'm praying that they will be like new in a couple of days & all of this will be behind you. |

Your girls are both so precious and beautiful. I'm so glad all of our prayers have been answered and that they are now safe from harm. You are a loving and remarkable mother, and you are all very lucky to have each other. I hope you have many, many loving, happy, healthy years with your little angels. |
You have two of the sweetest yorkies I've ever seen! Just absolutely adorable! (You can check her gum color to be sure she's getting enough oxygen. Pink is good, if they start to turn blue or purple, she will need assistance. Here's a link to CPR : http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/eme...uture-use.html Hope you won't need it) |

Glad to hear little ones are home! They look like such precious girls in the pics! I would also keep watching the color of her gums and tongue when you think she is breathing heavy. It is good the way you are so observant. In human medicine, it takes someone a while to fully recover from a life-threatening event. I would imagine the same is so to some extent with dogs - but I would still keep watching them closely for a while. |
They're both just adorable. I'm glad Cassie's breathing calmed down after putting her on your bed. She may have gotten too hot. I hope they will do well today, too. |

Aw...that sweet little baby. They had if rough, but sounds like they are both on the road to recovery. Such a blessing they are both back home and doing well. |
They are both on the road to recovery, that is right. Muffy is doing well, just her appetite is somewhat of a problem. She is very finicky, and not eating the way she was. Very little. Same with Cassie, but I think her breathing is more stable. She slept with me all night and I monitored her breathing. It seemed okay. She did eat little bits of the AD food off my fingertips, but still not eating well, either of them. Other than that, I am very very grateful that they are home with me and doing as well as they are doing. Namaste :-) Shellie |
Shellie, I have tears of joy! I am so very glad to hear that both the girls are home and are fast on the road to a full recovery. What a horrific few days you have had. Prayers are still being said for your family. |
