| Bad news Cassies surgery is going to be more than we expected and we cannot help her unless we get some funds. She will have to be euthanized. Please crosspost far and wide any little bit will help. We have set up a chip in account for her at I really do not want to see her put down just because of her ears. | She will have to be euthanized if you can't come up with the money for the surgery??? Poor little thing. How much is the vet saying the surgery will cost? How much is still needed? Can you work with other rescues to get help? Have you talked with any vet schools? Sorry for all the questions.

| The vet cost is going to be about 4000.00 and we an provide 2000.00 towards her surgery. We have contacted other rescues and noone can take her in. I have contacted every vet within an hour radius of me and noone can help by doing it cheaper for her unfortunately. I can post pics, how do I do that? I am getting a written estimate today or tommorow as soon as the specialist gets it to me. We are looking at Dr Will in Gloversville Ny to do the surgery, her consult with him is tommorow afternoon. But I have my vet checking with a specialist as well and should have a complete quote for me this afternoon. How do I post pics? |

| What about a Care credit card? Perhaps you can do that and make payments? Will the vet accept payments? Or another loan of some type? Is there anything you can sell? What about the rescue you work with? I read a post where you said you would be willing to work in the vet office to help pay the bill...did you ask the vet about that? Just trying to brainstorm.... When do you have to have the money by? Will you really have her euthanized if you can't raise the additional funds? Oh, I hope not....that just makes me so sad. Really hoping things work out for her.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | We don't really allow direct solicitation of funds; I'm sorry about this. If we did allow this, we'd have people asking for money/donations at every turn. Here is a link to help w/ vet bills: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...vet-bills.html Of course, you're welcome to continue sharing the name of your rescue, and please keep us updated on Cassie.

This post upsets me because I didn't think rescues euthanized if the problem was operable. OP...I made a few suggestions in my other post...I really hope you can find a solution. I personally wouldn't take a dog in if I couldn't provide for it. I know you are the foster home, not the owner...so that comment is not directed at you personally. I really hope you find a way to get the money. Sending good thoughts to Cassie.

| Its very sad but a harsh reality. I cant help but wonder how many rescues 4k would help save. Or how many 4k of vaccines, spay/neuter can stretch. After her surgery what will her quality of life be? Forgive me if it sounds awful. Im a human critical care provider and have to.deal with life and death so am used to exploring the the other side. I just dont see why shed be put to sleep if you cannot come up with the money. What is her quality of life?

| I am new to this, but does this mean if someone donates money to the rescue the baby came out of that the money they give can go towards the surgery?

| I thought all vets made care credit available for you to apply. I would apply for that. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ml#post3504432
