As I explained above, Rimadyl has an equal or smaller percentage of reported side effects as similar medications. You read more about it because it is used with greater frequency than other medications. I personally believe it is just as safe Tylenol for humans which can cause liver and kidney damage even when used properly.

| ![]() With any drug you have to watch for side effects. I used to feel the same way about Rimadyl, but have since used it and had no problems. Dogs just need to be monitored closely...and certainly should be properly screened and evaluated prior to taking Rimadyl. There are other meds ... I don't know anything about Sadie...I keep seeing people talk about pups so I guess she is carrying pups now? That will be another thing that needs to be considered. Anyway....here is an informative link: http://www.srdogs.com/Pages/rimadyl.html

| ![]() Just an update on Sadie, her leg is much better and after talking with the vet I decided to keep her on the meds she had chosen. She really is an awesome vet and takes time with me to explain everything. Sadie no longer had lose stool. She is gaining weight and eating all her regular food again, no more picky eater. She lets Scooter get in the whelping box with her and the puppies which shocked me cause at first she would chase him away. The puppies eyes are opening and they are so healthy. Here are the weights of the puppies compared to birth. 1st puppy born was a boy and weighed 5.8 oz today he weighs 13.5 oz 2nd puppy born was a boy and weighed 5.4 oz today he weighs 14.2 oz 3rd puppy born was a girl and weighed 6.2 oz today she weighs 14.2oz 4th puppy born was a boy and weighed 5.9 oz today he weighs 15.3 oz I am so happy to report that Momma and babies are all doing great and all have homes already with trusting loving families. Momma goes to be spayed as soon as the puppies are weaned. |

| ![]() So glad to hear that Sadie is doing so much better and that she longer has loose stools, and that she is finally eating real good. My goodness the babies sure are growing fast. I bet they are so cute.

| ![]() They are adorable and today I seen that two of them have their little eyes open. It is going to be hard to give them to their forever homes, you just get attached. Try not to, its impossible |
