Kailani43 Help, my puppies have been diagnosed with coccidia. I have been cleaning with bleach wipes and washing everything down. My adults are all negative and I don't know where this has come from! The diarrhea has been slowing but I am so concerned for their well being. They are on Albon (ponazuril wasn't working) and vitamin supplements. They are 12 weeks old and have been wormed and had all their shots and have been extremely healthy until the past couple of days. Any suggestions on eradicating the problem?

Thanks. Interesting reading. They definitely seem to be improving. They are playing and running around in their ex pen.

| Just be sure to finish all the meds and continue cleaning with bleach solution, and bathe them after the last dose to be sure any fecal matter is not left on them to reinfect them, and change/disinfect all bedding, etc., at the same time....

Hello, I just joined Yorkie talk.com and I wanted to say hi to everyone. I have a two year old female Yorkie that is trying to rule the world. She is beautiful, however there are a few things that I think she could do to improve her behavior. I won't go into them all now, but I was wondering if anyone knows why she likes to lick everyone for hours. Is it for attention, salt, or something else?

Kailani43 Thanks for the support and the advice. The diarrhea is just about gone 1-2 times per day. We still have about 7 days of abx to go and we will complete that. We will also take your advice and continue to disinfect and bathe. We are so relieved that we are progressing in the right direction. We were really concerned about their welfare.

Glad the pups are doing better...You may want to adminster a probiotic such as Forte Flora or Benebac...for good bacteria.

Thank you Mardelin. We do have a lot rabbits and birds in the yard. We are returning to the vet in the am due to intermittent break thru diarrhea. Is this common or are we relapsing? We really thought we were having success. I am now switching to a 10% bleach solution as it turns out "bleach wipes" are nonchlorine based.
