Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Good news from the eye doctor today Scarlett saw the opthamologist today. She confirmed that the spots in her eyes are Corneal Dystrophy. There are 3 main causes: diet, hypothyroidism and hereditary. She believes Scarlett's is hereditary. She's lucky in that it is only affecting the surface layer and not the entire strata. The crystals are small and on the periphery of her corneas, so it's not affecting her vision. The opthamologist feels it most likely won't progress and she won't lose her vision from it. Corneal Dystrophy in Dogs Corneal Dystrophy In Dogs She also gave us the go ahead to do the steroid trial (for the Acquired Tremor Syndrome).

| Glad to hear Scarlett's eyes are okay. Hope all goes well treating the Acquired Tremor Syndrome. How long will she have to be on prednisone?

| Good news indeed. Maxine is losing her night Vision. Had her checked by the Opthamologist, and not much can be done. She is ok during the day, but at night, in the dark outside, have to watch her. Now she will sometimes even not be able to find the steps. Always out with them, so we help her. |
