Scarlett saw the opthamologist today. She confirmed that the spots in her eyes are Corneal Dystrophy. There are 3 main causes: diet, hypothyroidism and hereditary. She believes Scarlett's is hereditary. She's lucky in that it is only affecting the surface layer and not the entire strata. The crystals are small and on the periphery of her corneas, so it's not affecting her vision. The opthamologist feels it most likely won't progress and she won't lose her vision from it.
