That's what I did this afternoon. He didn't love it, but at least I got about 1/2 of the cleaning done. I need crate rest now!

He has this confused look on his face...wondering why he has to stay in there. But, overall he has adapted better than I thought he would. Can't wait until next Monday!

Thanks for the update! I know the crating is hard, but it will be over before you know it and it will be so worth it.

I'm sure he is confused about having to stay in his crate and there's nothing like a sad yorkie face looking at you like that to make you feel bad.

He is young and has tons of energy, so he wants to be out running around with mommy and sis! I'm glad you got some things done, too. I prescribe crate rest for you tonight.

Sounds good to me!

Early this evening the student who was working with the surgeon from Purdue called to check on how Peyton was doing. I really cannot say enough good things about the Purdue University Vet school. (And this is coming from a devout Indiana University fan! The two schools are big rivals!

)

Peyton is sooo full of puppy energy today...he has had enough of the crate! Just a few more days...

That is very nice! The vet schools really are great that way...and also offer great care!

Last day of full crate rest...hopefully!!! Tomorrow morning we go to Purdue for a recheck. I pray it is healed! We have been very diligent about this crate rest.

Tonight I have to go to church for several hours. I skipped church this morning

so that I could spend most of the day with him. I'll leave him in his x pen this evening so he has access to food and water, piddle pads, etc. It's what I've done the few times this past week when I had to be away from him.
I thought about taking the crate to church, but I think he will get too excited by all the people. It is the annual talent show at church. My girls and I are in several parts of it. Bad timing. My girls are singing and dancing! They are soooo cute and talented, I'm so proud! But, my mind will also be on Peyton.

Please say a prayer that he is all healed up. I am so glad Monday is almost here! I want my baby to be able to run and play like he SO wants to!
