| Poor little Thor! I hope and pray he's feeling better soon.

| How did the vet visit go? My first thought would have been a blockage also b/c of the chicken wing. Is he pooping now? Pancreatitis is possible, esp. with the abdominal tenderness, but without vomiting, it's somewhat unlikely.

Thor's Human Donating Member | Thank you guys. It means so much to know that people here care about Thor. He seems fine. He settled down for the night, and this morning, he raced over to his food and chowed down. He also pooped out these tiny little things that looked and felt like rocks. So I think he was badly constipated, probably from all the extra protein in that stupid chicken wing. I have two cans of pumpkin in my cupboard, but for some reason I didn't try any. That probably would have made him feel better. I also read that taking your dog for a walk can help them work out the gas. I actually tried to "burp" him last night, but I don't know that you can burp a dog. I feel bad that he was in so much discomfort yesterday when I could have tried some other things. He seems to have recovered nicely, though. Again, thank you so much for your input and concern.

| So glad he's doing better... and yes you can burp a dog. My Biewer burps as soon as she gets upright waitng to be picked up! Sometimes gentle patting on the back can help too!

Thor's Human Donating Member | How do you burp your dog? I put Thor over my shoulder like a baby and rubbed his back, but it didn't seem right. Maybe because his stomach wasn't really resting on my shoulder? He was using his legs to brace himself.
