| Quiet, shaking & bit of a cough? Charlie has seemed a bit quiet for the last couple of days, he has also been shaking quite a lot and today has coughed once or twice. i am wondering whether he has a cold and it will be OK in a couple of days or whether I should take him to the vet. |

| Personally, I would take my pup to the vet. Being quiet for a couple of days and shaking could indicate lots of things....better to have him checked out imo. Better safe than sorry. I recently noticed odd behavior in one of my pups and thank goodness I followed my instincts. He was on Mometamax for an ear infection and it was causing him to lose his hearing. A side effect that, while not common, does occur. He had his ears flushed and after a couple of days was back to normal. They said it is better to catch it early or sometimes the hearing does not come back. I would rather pay for a vet visit and have it be nothing than to wait and have it be something that gets worse. Good luck. Keep us posted.

| Thanks eveyone for your advice. We took Charlie to the vets this morning and the vet did a full check up. He said he has a high temperature and he thinks hes got a bit of a cold. He gave him some anti biotics and painkillers by injection and has given us some for the next few days. He said take him back if we are worried tomorrow but he should be fine. Charlie seems a bit happier already |
