| Daisy and reverse sneezing Daisy woke up this morning around 5 am and started reverse sneezing. She would do it for about 2-3 min and stop and start around 20 min later. I gave her some benadryl and it slowed it down a bit but she still starts to do it when ever she takes a deep breath or barks. I called the vet and they said that it could be an upper respitory infection I worry so much bc of her reaction to her last medication and the liver issues. Please keep Daisy in your prayers we have an appointment at 11 am.

| Sending well wishes for Daisy, and hoping that the vet has good news for you. How is Daisy doing otherwise? She has been through a lot. Glad to see her sister is doing well and enjoying the snow.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Has she reversed sneezed before, or is this completely new? Do you use down in your bedroom? I wonder if she inhaled a little piece of down or something.

| Remy had that after being spayed... we took her to the vet and she had kennel cough. The vet gave her an antibodic and a couple shots. She is a lot better. I don't know about the liver issue.. but I am sure the vet has medication that could be used. I hope it works out.

| We just got back from the vet and no upper respitory infection. The vet thinks that it might be due to her throwing up yesterday and might of caused an irritation. Or it could be that she has something stuck in her nasal passage. I don't use down bc of my allergies. They gave her a shot of an antiflammatory to reduce any swelling but if it isn't better in 2 days she has to go in and have her nasal passage flushed. I can't imagine what got stuck unless when she threw up food went up her nose She sounds awful poor baby

| She stopped the reverse sneezing but all night she was making a weird noise in her throat as if she was trying to clear it or something and every once in a while she sounds like an asthma attack. I still am giving the benadryl until tom. and if she isn't better we are going back to the vet. I just hope this is not anything serious I worry so much about my fur babies.

My dog Barney has reverse sneezing and we have never used benadryl and he's had it every winter very bad since he was a puppy. This year is no different, the dry air in our house from the heat being on constantly can really affect him. I find a use of a vaporizer (NOT a humidifier) can help him and I add 2-3 drops of peppermint essential oil to it to naturally open up his passages. It works great and we haven't had to do anything medically for him.

| I bought a cool mist machine and the wheezing is pretty much gone. I run it at night and she sounds so much better. I think maybe it was a combination of the dry air and throwing up must of irritated her throat.
