I totally understand your worry....leaving them at the vet is difficult. Prayers for Basil...I am so hopeful this is something that can be easily addressed.
As Karen said, try to avoid thinking about the breeder for now and focus on getting Basil well. That woman will, in the end, have to repay you.

Sending prayers for positive results for Basil's tests today. Basil surely picked the right person. She knew you were the one who would take care of her and love her best. When I first got Buster he had a lot of health issues. He had to be hospitalized for 3 days the first month I had him. I remember breaking down and sobbing as I typed my thread on YT. I was so afraid I was going to loose him my heart was breaking. So I know your fears. I had purchased Buster from a store, my first hard lesson, but California had a lemon law and I pursued them. They first offered a small sum to make me go away but it came no where near to his expenses. I was lucky that a woman at work had a husband who was a lawyer he called the place on my behalf just inquiring and they upped the refund because the realized I was not going away. So don't give up pursuing your refund. But that aside what you must concentrate on now is staying strong for Basil. Once you know what you are dealing with you can take the steps to help Basil get healthy. It really is scarier to not know what is wrong. You will be so much calmer once you know what course of treatment to take. Sending our best to you and Basil and praying for an simple outcome and treatment for Basil.

She probably went to pick up Basil. I think she said the specialist was a few towns over from her. At least I hope that's what's going on! Praying and hoping for good news for Basil.

Just got home from taking 2 of my babies to the vet for routine stuff and checking on Basil Praying that Basil can come home and will be feeling better soon. She is a very lucky to have such a loving mommy.

Well, got a call from vet, just came home. Basil will be staying overnight. They decided that they are going to do a procedure to her tonight. Lots of enemas, a ballooning teqhnique, it is deffinitly a colon stricture. Also they will be doing, iv fluids, digital correction of colonic stricture, iv pain medication, bloodwork, gereral anesteshia, and symptomatic and supportive care. I will get a call tonight about how the procedure went. So lets all hope it worked and they were able to break the band. Well, I am going to go cry myself to sleep and ummm, yea, I dunno... I at least got to hold her for about 20 minutes before they had to prep her. I got a few snap shot of her and I. Sorry I am crying my eyes out in the picture. You might have to look under my profile to see them.

Dag on it! I was hoping Basil would be home. Poor little thing I feel for you and...OK, I know I said be strong, so I am crying for you as I type. I pray for God to give Basil strength. I pray for you also. Please, if you want to cry up here then by all means do so. We got your back!
