| I'm sorry to hear about the problems your baby is facing. Is your vet dealing with the seizures? There is only one way to diagnose epilepsy and that is to do an MRI and spinal tap (very costly procedures) and rule out everything else that could cause seizures. My Teddy was recently diagnosed with epilepsy by a neurologist and had the above tests. He was started on Zonisamide 25 mg every 12 hours. There are no side effects on the organs with this drug. You should ask your vet about it as it may help to control the seizures. The only side effects to zonisamide are noted when first starting the drug and are as follows. Teddy did not experience any of these side effects but was tired the first day of taking it-- Decrease in appetite – most common and generally on higher doses Personality change to annoying and anxious all the time. – About 5 to 10% do this and need take another drug. Sedation or unsteady gait – generally only at high doses Urinary incontinence - Extremely rare

| Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have been pm'ing back and forth with Max's mom and in no way is she thinking of getting another one to replace Max. Her dtr is devastated as is she and she was just thinking of adding another one to help her family cope. She fully intends to get Max the best care and prays for a great outcome. I just wanted to share so there is no one thinking she has given up on Max. Please keep him in your prayers. She had to take him to the er vet overnight and they will know more today.

| My thoughts and prayers are with you. Azodyl is a supplements for pet with kidney problems. Of course this is not a cure and may not even help at all, but perhaps speak with your vet and maybe it won't hurt to give him some ![]() Anti-oxidants & Immuno-stimulants for Cats - Azodyl ...I am giving my two small doses of Azodyl bc they both have crystals in their urine... |
