I'm so very, very sorry for your loss of Sweet Peyton. Your baby knew so much love and knew you went the distance for him.

I am so sorry that Peyton had so many health problems. You made the decision that you had to make so that he didn't have to suffer. I'm glad you decided to get another puppy. I think naming it Peyton would be a nice tribute to your lost puppy. Hugs...

I am so sorry for your loss. I too would have done everything the way you did. Peyton was so lucky to have you love him in his short life. Sending you a big ol cyber hug!!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone.

I debated if I should share this or not, but I decided to go ahead...

I had taken him to the Purdue Vetinarian hospital where they have the very best care and specialist all in one place.

When I was having to make this very difficult decision, the doctor told me that if I choose to, I could donate his remains (ugh, I feel so AWFUL even typing that) to their neurology department. That his life could have an even higher purpose in helping to further the study of hydrocephalus and to help other puppies in the future. She said that he would make an excellent case study and they would be able to really learn a lot from him. She said this to help me feel better about such a difficult decision.

I said yes. It made me feel good that his life would most possibly help save other puppies. He is a hero, and didn't even know it. :)

Also, I decided to donate to this forum to say thank you to all you for all the help and support you have given me. The donation is in thanks to all of you and in memory of my sweet little first Peyton.

Peyton, I love you so much. I will never, ever forget you. Thank you for coming into my life and having such a special impact. Thank you for helping other puppies in the future. Your life had so much meaning in the short time you were here. I will love you forever. See you across rainbow bridge my sweet little baby boy.

You are an amazing person. Not only did you step aside from your grief for to donate Peyton's remains for the betterment of science for all dogs that may follow but you even donated her on YT and I saw that you also helped the YHR pups today by purchasing a blanket. You were definitely chosen to be Peyton's human for his little time here and I can see why. Again, you are amazing.

What a loving memorial to Peyton. Thank you for sharing his pictures with us. Peyton was a beautiful pup, but I already knew that without seeing him. You're a beautiful person, too.
