Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() Yes Bella had surgery to remove a piece of plastic she ate. Her stitches are still visible and you can feel them when you rub her tummy. The vet said it could take a year. Bella also used to lick them, it will get sore and hurt so I put her cone on her head so she would stop. Now she doesn't notice them anymore.

| ![]() Both Rio's and Bullet's spay and neuter surgeries had dissolving stitches, and both of theirs dissolved except for the knots on either end of the incision. Our vet just pulled them out gently and easily because they had already dissolved near the skin, just the knots were left.

| ![]() Most of the post are several years old and I am wondering if anyone has had this problem lately? Bailey is 57 days post op and she still has stitches poking trough and skin has grown over the others. My vet wants to wait until she is 11 months old before removing them. She also has 2 sets of all 4 canine's which will be removed at the same time if they haven't fallen out before then. Is this normal? Thanks for your help!! |
