| ![]() Has anyone had a baby that pulled a muscle? Tia started shaking yesterday morning. I thought she was having her first "cold" moment with the weather changing, so I put both Ally and Tia on a sweater. She continued to shake after it warmed up a little. I noticed that she wouldn't sit down. She started to, but then stood back up each time. She was standing and closing her eyes like she was sleeping standing up. I knew she wasn't constipated because she had already gone. I gave her a warm bath and made sure she didn't have anything wrong with her bottom. Within an hour, I was rubbing her and when I reach her right leg, she yelped. So now I thought she dislocated something in her hip or knee. She wouldn't let me turn her over to check her, so I called my neighbor. After both of us rubbing and gently pressing, her pain was coming from right in front of her right hip. She was spayed on 9/11. She stilled shivered (because we were probing) so I gave her the last of the pain pills I had from spaying at about 1:20 pm. She would not lay down unless I helped her and she was not interested in food or following me around. She finally was feeling better by 5 pm and today, it's like it never happened. I was going to take her in to see a vet, but she seems fine. I gently touched the sensitive area and it doesn't seem to hurt her. I am not, however, pressing firmly so I don't irritate it any more. Has this happened to your baby? |

| ![]() No, it has not happened to any of my pups and if it did, I would go to the vet. Things like this should be seen. If it is nothing, great. Better to know what is going on.

| ![]() Shaking is a sign of pain, so it's a possibility she was in a lot of pain and not just cold. She may have a back or hip problem if she was refusing to sit. I'd get it checked out anyway, because you can never be too sure about this kind of thing, believe me! Dogs are really good at hiding pain and pretending nothing is wrong, so when they do show pain, something is definitely wrong.
