| ![]() I agree with most of the previous postings, but wanted to add: Did you put the flea treatment on him? If yes, What was it and the dose? It can be risky using flea tx when they are under 2lbs, and neuro symptoms could be a reaction. If that's not it, AAI, Chiari, and GME/NME frequently present with Hydrocephalus, and this condition alone can cause pain, inability to focus, not wanting to be touched. You said he was crying out while eating... leads me to think more AAI, as the junction of the head and neck is compromised, but could be more a result of excess fluid in the skull making it painful. Hydrocephalus and sometimes AAI, and Chiari can be determined a possibility by an Xray. If AAI, or suspect, it is critical to restrict his activity and maintain complete cage rest until a definitive diagnosis is made. Extreme care while handling only when absolutely necessary. Normally a Spinal Tap and MRI are done to differentiate between and/or rule out all. May be best to seek out a Neurologist for further testing. Treatment needs to begin quickly, as these conditions are severe, but are being treated somewhat successfully. Only newer info on the internet will reflect that. There are drugs used to decrease the amount of excess Spinal fluid in the brain and to slow down the body's production of it, which will make him feel much better, once it gets under control. No more vaccinations until GME/NME is ruled out, as these are immune-mediated diseases and would get worse. Keeping you and your little one in my prayers....

| ![]() Hi All, Today is the worst day of my life. We lost our little prince at 2am this morning and needless to say i'm devastated. Tears are over following. I know we only had him for such a short time, but he was my baby boy, my child and it is a huge loss. I will take action against the guy who sold him to us as clearly he is not above board. So i ask you all to light a candle today for my little prince who was loved so much and will be dearly missed. The vet didn't want to go into to many details as he was in a very bad way and she said, it was a neurological disease. So i never even got the chance to say good-bye and i'm shattered. Remembering all the special little ones we have all lost and know they in a better place now. No pain and suffering. Thanks again for all your wonderful messages. Bronwyn and Princess Chilli |

| ![]() I am sorry for your loss. How heartbreaking! At least he knew love and caring during his last days. You can be proud of that. I know how quickly these tiny pups can make a place in our hearts. Saying a prayer for you all.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() I'm so sorry about your little one. Once you give your heart to a pet, it's devastating to lose it - no matter how long or short your time together was. I hope you can find comfort in knowing that you did everything you could to help your puppy. |
