| Pippin update/ having surgery tomorrow Pippin seemed to be doing so well. I thought diet was going to fix what was wrong. The past 2 weeks he's been so bright eyed and his old frisky self. He went potty tonight, and passed blood again. Tomorrow the vet is going to x-ray,and do exploratory surgery and take a biopsy. I am so scared. About 20 years ago I had a dog, Toby, who I loved so very much. He was about 14 years old, and started to have pain in his stomach. The vet did an x-ray and said it was too cloudy to tell anything and decided to do an exploratory. When he opened him up he found Toby was filled with cancer. The vet called me and said it was best to not let Toby wake up. I never got to say goodbye to Toby. I'm so afraid of what they will find tomorrow. After all these years I can still remember how much it hurt to get that call. Please say a little prayer that he finds something that's fixable. Just like you love your babies...Pippin is my heart. |

| Oh gosh...such a sad story about Toby. I'm so sorry for that happening. *HUG* I'll say a prayer for your little Pippen. What is your vet going to biopsy on Pippen? I hope and pray it turns out fine and he'll be a happy and healthy little dog again. I'll be thinking of you and Pippen.

| thank you for the support Your support really means a lot to me. Many people aren't attached to animals and can't understand how much we love them. Last week I was talking to a co-worker about my decision to either do what is happening today or to take him to a specialist in San Francisco. My co-worker said "I don't mean to sound heartless, but maybe you need to consider having him put down. You could spend all of this money and find out it's not something that can be fixed". I knew she would never "get it" no matter what I said. My eyelids are so swollen from all the crying last night. I look like an alien from another planet. I hate that I have to go into work after I drop him off and try to function. At this moment I feel surprisingly calm. I know it's out of my hands right now. Again, thank you for caring about us. I'll give you an update when he's out of surgery. Valerie |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I hope it all turns out well for you. I know going in to work isn't easy, but some people find it easier to keep busy while waiting for news -- hopefully you can distract yourself with work. |

| I don't know what tests have been done on Pippin prior to this. You say the vet is going to take xrays tomorrow and also do exploratory surgery. I personally would not allow anyone to operate on my dog without having done tests prior (and I dont mean same day) to come to a diagnosis. If those have been done, forgive me, I have not followed his story. I am a person who believes in board certified surgeons. I would rather spend that money because most of the time they see a lot of things that other vets do not see and often can come to a diagnosis quicker. I will pray for your little Pippin. I don't mean to undermine anything you are doing, merely asking some questions and suggesting. If you go ahead with this surgery, I really hope it goes well!

When people say things like that to me, I tell them I can't think of anything I could buy that would make me feel as happy as my pets do. Not a thing!
