Your support really means a lot to me. Many people aren't attached to animals and can't understand how much we love them. Last week I was talking to a co-worker about my decision to either do what is happening today or to take him to a specialist in San Francisco. My co-worker said "I don't mean to sound heartless, but maybe you need to consider having him put down. You could spend all of this money and find out it's not something that can be fixed". I knew she would never "get it" no matter what I said.
My eyelids are so swollen from all the crying last night. I look like an alien from another planet. I hate that I have to go into work after I drop him off and try to function. At this moment I feel surprisingly calm. I know it's out of my hands right now.
Again, thank you for caring about us. I'll give you an update when he's out of surgery.
