Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Hot Weather Warning I know everybody on here probably already knows this, but we just got a hot weather alert (it's 113% just outside my office in Los Angeles) and I thought I'd pass this on. This applies to you, and all your loved ones, human and furry... Remember to keep cool and use common sense: • Stay indoors and in an air-conditioned environment as much as possible • Drink plenty of fluids and replace salts and minerals in your body • Dress in cool, loose clothing and use hats or umbrellas for shade • Limit sun exposure during mid-day hours • Never leave any person or pet in a parked vehicle. If any of your pets spend much time outside and you've got this kind of heat today, you really should keep them in as much as possible and make sure they are drinking plenty of water. |

| It's been out here in the bay area too. It's supposed to be hot all week! Belle and I have been inside with the fan on and all the windows open. I've been putting ice in her water and she goes crazy over them! |

| Wow, it is really hot in your area. We had such a hot summer and your advice is so wise. Very sad here with the weather... we had a friend's dog die of heat exhaustion in July. And, they did everything right, but the dog escaped from the electronic fence while my friend was outside and the dog took off running. The vet could not save the dog.
