I know everybody on here probably already knows this, but we just got a hot weather alert (it's 113% just outside my office in Los Angeles) and I thought I'd pass this on. This applies to you, and all your loved ones, human and furry...

Remember to keep cool and use common sense:
• Stay indoors and in an air-conditioned environment as much as possible
• Drink plenty of fluids and replace salts and minerals in your body
• Dress in cool, loose clothing and use hats or umbrellas for shade
• Limit sun exposure during mid-day hours
• Never leave any person or pet in a parked vehicle.

If any of your pets spend much time outside and you've got this kind of heat today, you really should keep them in as much as possible and make sure they are drinking plenty of water.
